Liebster Award!

Friday, November 8, 2013
Hi everyone!

I was nominated for the Liebster award, and I'm so excited!

The Liebster award is away for blogs with less than 200 followers to gain more of an audience, and means dearest, which is so sweet. :)

The rules are:
Link back the blogger that tagged you
Nominate 10 others and answer the questions of the one who tagged you
Ask 10 questions for the blogger you nominate
Let your nominees know of their award

So let's get started!

Thank you and BIG HUGS to Kyendwarrior over at Eternity Through Pages! You're the best. :)

On to the questions:

1.  *Poof!* A genie appeared in front of you!  He can grant you three wishes- but they must all be wishes related to books! What three things would you wish for?
First wish: I am a teenager, and so I live with my parents. And by their rules. One of those such rules is extreme restrictions on what I can and can't read. Example: Harry Potter. My first wish would be to be free of these restrictions, so I could read whatever I wanted to.

Second wish: I lived in a bookstore that was regulated. It would still be restocked frequently with books and Starbucks. I'm all good. Plus there's free wi-fi!

Third wish: FICTIONAL UNIVERSES AND CHARACTERS WOULD BE REAL. Come on. Which bibliophile in their right mind would not wish for that! I'm just waiting for Jace to show up in my room and tell me I'm a Shadowhunter. It would be so amazing.

2.  What book (s) do you wish more people knew about?
I generally read mainstream books, so this is one I have to think about.

I think that if I only had to pick one series, it would be the Half Upon A Time trilogy by James Riley. It's a fractured fairy tale that's so much fun and so adventurous, yet ties in our favorite childhood stories in so well, and it's upsetting that more people haven't read it.

3.  Favorite authors and favorite books from said authors?
My favorite authors and books by them:

John Green- The Fault in Our Stars
Cassandra Clare- The Mortal Instruments series
Veronica Roth- Divergent trilogy
Suzanne Collins- The Hunger Games trilogy
Lauren Oliver- Delirium trilogy
Marie Lu- Legend trilogy
Rick Riordan- Percy Jackson and the Olympians series
Markus Zusak- The Book Thief

Wow. That was a lot.

4.  Any books you wish had a sequel?  How about books that you wish were stand-alones?  Why?
Okay, I'm going to name one trilogy that was mentioned above, because it fits into both categories.

The Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver.

The last books ending was not my kind of ending. It was the ending that didn't tell you how things turned out, and left things in the middle of chaos. I would be extremely happy if there was a fourth book made, or at least some sort of epilogue.

If not, I would rather that she kept Delirium as one book. I loved book two, and there are worse books than the last one, but I think it would have been more powerful if it was ended the way it was, and kept that way.

5.  What do you think of multiple point-of-view novels?
I enjoy them very much, as long as there aren't too many people talking, and the voices don't sound identical. I think it's a fun and unique way to get inside more than one person's head.

6.  First book character crush?
Um, I've been obsessed with books since childhood, but I'll say that I first became an outspoken book lover when I read The Hunger Games. I gotta say Peeta Mellark.

7.  Favorite classical novels?
I haven't read that many, but I guess Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. It was very deep and well written, and I enjoyed it very much.

8.  What was the first book that sparked your book-lovin' soul?
As I said in question six, I've loved books since before I could read, but the books which got me obsessive and books being my only focus is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

9.  Favorite genres?
Fantasy, Dystopian, and Romance.

10.  Favorite childhood books?
In terms of picture books, I have the fondest memories of the Madeline series by Ludwig Bemelmans and the Dick and Jane readers that taught me how to read. If chapter books, it would be the Dish series by Diane Muldrow.

I nominate:
Pam and Sheri from [YA]Escape From Reality
Caitlin from Book Love
Alice from Alice in Readerland
Stephanie from Love. Life. Read.
Kerri from Turn The Page Reviews
Alyssa from Diary of a Book Maniac
Rachel from The Big Book Binge

(I know it's not ten blogs, but most of the blogs I follow have over 200 followers).

Questions for my nominees:

1. What book do you think is the most over-hyped and why?
2. Do you consider yourself a fangirl?
3. Who is your book boyfriend?
4. When did you start to love books?
5. Library or bookstore?
6. Do you have a preference between E-Readers, paperbacks, and hardcovers? Which is it?
7. Where do you love to read the most?
8. What is your all time favorite book/series?
9. If (insert favorite female character name here) and (insert favorite male character name here) were both falling off a cliff, who would you save?
10. What is the most disappointing last book in a series/trilogy that you've ever read?

That's all! I hope you guys enjoyed my post and THANK YOU again to Kyendwarrior! :D
